Ages 2–3 | 90-minute weekly class
We're excited to offer Preschool Play & Prep with HOMER, a unique early learning experience co-created by Gymboree Play & Music and HOMER, the award-winning educational app for kids ages 2–6.
This 90-minute transitional class helps young children build key skills through play, creativity, and connection. Each session begins with caregiver participation before transitioning into independent learning with physical play, art, and story time.

With a full year of themed lessons and at-home tips and app-based extensions, PPP bridges the gap between home and classroom learning—supporting every child’s growth at their own pace.

At the heart of Preschool Play & Prep with HOMER is a thematic approach that makes learning fun and meaningful. Each lesson weaves together early literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social-emotional development—centered around engaging, high-interest themes designed for young learners.
Themes like All About Me, Farms & Food, and Fairy Tales & Make-Believe help children explore the world while building foundational skills. Each theme includes 2–4 unique lessons, offering variety and depth while keeping things fresh and exciting.
Whether your child attends every week or occasionally, our modular design ensures they feel welcome and included. Each lesson stands on its own, making it easy for every child to jump in and start learning right away.

Each Preschool Play & Prep with HOMER class is designed to support a wide range of early developmental skills. Through high-interest themes and hands-on activities, children build literacy, numeracy, physical, and social-emotional skills in a fun, engaging way.

A strong emphasis is placed on early literacy and phonemic awareness. Each class introduces a letter of the alphabet (not always in order), helping children become familiar with letter names, shapes, and sounds in a playful, pressure-free environment. Similarly, our approach to early math builds number awareness through counting, one-to-one correspondence, and number recognition.
Learning continues beyond the classroom, too. Every lesson includes a take-home handout with HOMER app suggestions and offline activities so families can reinforce skills at home and stay connected to their child’s learning journey.
