Our patented equipment is designed by Jay Beckwith, a renowned American playground designer with 30 years of experience, and every detail is centered around the needs of children. The design of our play environment meets the high-quality standards that parents expect for their children.

GYMBOREE was founded in 1976 by Joan Barnes, a mother from Marin County, California. At the time, she was looking for a safe, fun place that offered age-appropriate parent-child activities. When she couldn’t find a suitable location, she took the initiative to create her own parent-child program! Since then, we have been inspiring parents and children, and continue to do so to this day.
